It is understood that Landfill Gas and Power Pty Ltd are currently tendering for landfill gas extraction contracts. The City of Canning has been involved with Landfill Gas & Power Pty Ltd for several years now, since the initial trials at Ranford Road to determine the viability of gas extraction for commercial consumption purposes. During that time, I have had considerable contact with yourself and employees of the company. At all times, the company has acted in a professional manner, and the many issues involved in finalising our long term contract have all been resolved to mutual satisfaction.

 

The company has kept to its word on all occasions and any commitments made are fulfilled. The contract between Landfill Gas & Power Pty Ltd and the City of Canning is now entering its most exciting phase, with the construction of a power station which will be fired from landfill gas from the City's Ranford Road landfill site and also the City Melville's Beazley Road landfill site.

 

The City of Canning is very pleased with its contract with Landfill Gas & Power Pty Ltd and is confident that the future will be one of mutual benefit.
