Letter of Support for Landfill Gas & Power Pty Ltd
To Whom It May Concern, Landfill Gas & Power Pty Ltd have been involved in the extraction of methane gas and the generation of power at the EMRC's Red Hill Waste Management Facility since 1993. Whilst there is a formal legal agreement in the form of a lease for the land on which the power station has been constructed and a license to extract the gas, the nature of the relationship between Landfill Gas & Power Pty Ltd and the EMRC is more one of a partnership in regards to the operation of the Facility, with Landfill Gas & Power Pty Ltd being responsible for the gas extraction and power generation, infrastructure and operations. The drilling of the wells and other works relating to the installation and maintenance of the pipelines, is co-ordinated so that waste disposal operations are not impacted and the power generation undertaken is in a manner that does not breach any of the license conditions under which the EMRC is permitted to operate. Landfill Gas & Power Pty Ltd are responsive to the needs of the EMRC and the community and are active participants in the Annual Open Days and site visits undertaken by community groups and schools. The EMRC would be pleased to provide further endorsement of Landfill Gas & Power Pty Ltd should it be required.
Yours faithfully,
