Our Environmental Contribution

At LGP, we understand the value and the importance of the environment to the world community and for future generations.

As a renewable energy company, we comply with all applicable environmental laws, standards and regulations to ensure that our business activities and operations do not in any way adversely impact on the environment. All our landfill sites have the necessary approval and certification from the relevant authorities, including the Department of Environmental Protection, the State Planning Commission, Minister for Lands and the local authorities relevant to each development.

We continually strive for excellence in environmental performance by firmly adhering to LGP's Environmental Policy, which guides us in achieving best practice methods. As a member of the Western Australian Sustainable Energy Association (WASEA), the Waste Management Association of Australia, and with our General Manager Retail, Dr Steve Gould, sitting on the Western Australian Carbon Committee, we encourage and support sustainable energy and waste management.

Our main environmental objective is to actively participate and make a positive contribution towards initiatives which aim to raise environmental awareness and which protect and conserve local wildlife and ecosystems, within local and international communities.
