Since its inception in 1993, from operating the gas extraction systems at our six local landfill sites, Landfill Gas and Power Pty Ltd (LGP) has developed an extensive knowledge of the operational practices that maximise the airspace of the landfills and ensures the maximum capture of landfill gas as soon as it is generated. This knowledge can be accessed and utilised by landfill operators on a consultancy basis. We call it the LGP Clean Technology Process.LGP has designed and constructed many landfill gas power stations ranging in capacity from 250m3/hr to 5,000m3/hr. LGP can design, construct and commission a plant for your site and provide training and ongoing support. These designs can incorporate PLC control and monitoring equipment.
Consulting/Project Management:
Where the landfill operator desires to retain ownership of the power station and its supporting wellfield system, LGP is able to act as a consultant/project manager during the design, construction, commissioning and training and, if required, ongoing support throughout the life of the project.LGP has developed the art of maximising gas capture and its treatment, in order to maximise electricity generation from the landfill sites. We can demonstrate how to get more gas from less waste material.
Trouble Shooting:
With the landfill gas extraction and electricity generation industry being relatively new, there are many possible causes for a gas extraction system to perform poorly. LGP offers a trouble shooting service to quickly identify a problem in an existing system, and recommend changes to minimise downtime.
Landfill Capability Assessments:
In order to be able to determine whether there is sufficient gas in a landfill, a thorough assessment is required. An assessment begins with a preliminary questionnaire relating to the various characteristics of the landfill through to undertaking drilling and monitoring of gas flows from the site. LGP can determine if your site has commercial quantities of biogas for power generation or flaring, how much biogas is available and the life span of the gas.
