LGP Clean Technology Process

Since its inception in 1993, from operating the gas extraction systems at our six local landfill sites, Landfill Gas & Power Pty Ltd (LGP) has developed an extensive knowledge of the operational practices that maximise the airspace of the landfills and ensures the maximum capture of engineered landfill gas as soon as it is generated. This knowledge can be accessed and utilised by landfill operators on a consultancy basis. We call it the LGP Clean Technology Process. LGP has designed and constructed many landfill gas power stations ranging in capacity from 250m3/hr to 5,000m3/hr. LGP can design, construct and commission a plant for your site and provide training and ongoing support. These designs can incorporate PLC control and monitoring equipment.

Consulting/Project Management:

Where the landfill operator desires to retain ownership of the power station and its supporting wellfield system, LGP is able to act as a consultant/project manager during the design, construction, commissioning and training and, if required, ongoing support throughout the life of the project.LGP has developed the art of maximising gas capture and its treatment, in order to maximise electricity generation from the landfill sites. We can demonstrate how to get more gas from less waste material.

Trouble Shooting:

With the landfill gas extraction and electricity generation industry being relatively new, there are many possible causes for a gas extraction system to perform poorly. LGP offers a trouble shooting service to quickly identify a problem in an existing system, and recommend changes to minimise downtime.

Landfill Capability Assessments:

In order to be able to determine whether there is sufficient gas in a landfill, a thorough assessment is required. An assessment begins with a preliminary questionnaire relating to the various characteristics of the landfill through to undertaking drilling and monitoring of gas flows from the site. LGP can determine if your site has commercial quantities of biogas for power generation or flaring, how much biogas is available and the life span of the gas.

LGP Clean Technology Process

Landfill Gas & Power Pty Ltd (LGP) pioneered landfill gas power generation in Western Australia in 1993 and since then have developed our unique method of engineered landfill gas extraction and gas pre-treatment/processing that delivers higher efficiencies. We call it the LGP Clean Technology Process .

Wellfield:

Years of experience in designing and constructing wellfields, has seen LGP emerge as a leader in the field of engineered landfill gas extraction systems. We can design and construct a gas extraction system suited to your landfill that will ensure greater gas recovery with more control.

Gas Pre-Treatment Plant:

LGP has designed and constructed many gas pre-treatment plants for its own power stations and for clients. These designs vary in capacity from 250m3/hr to 5,000m3/hr and incorporate PLC control, monitoring equipment and facility for data logging. LGP can design, construct and commission the plant for your site and provide training and ongoing support.

Gas Flaring Equipment:

LGP is experienced in the design and construction of gas flaring equipment for its own power stations and for clients. These designs vary in capacity from 250m3/hr to 5,000m3/hr and incorporate PLC control, monitoring equipment and facility for data logging. LGP can design, construct and commission the gas flaring equipment tailored to suit your application and provide training and ongoing support.

Power Stations (Australia Only):

LGP will participate in Build Own Operate Transfer (BOOT) Projects. These projects involve the design, construction and operation of a power station and landfill gas wellfield by LGP, for a predetermined time. At the end of this time, the facility will be handed over as an operating power station with ongoing support if required. LGP can train your staff in all operating systems including wellfield management.

Grid Connection:

LGP can build your power station from wellfield gas extraction to grid connection.
